Autism Spectrum Disorder

The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Diagnostic Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic occurring two to three times monthly. The mission is to evaluate children and adolescents when there is a question of an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis.

The team is staffed by a Clinic Coordinator, a Family Resource Coordinator, a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician and by a combination of:

  • Occupational Therapists
  • Speech Language Pathologists
  • Behavioral Therapists
  • Clinical Psychologist

Generally two clinicians/therapists administer the Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule while the Developmental Pediatrician performs a clinical interview and physical examination.

Families meet with the team towards the end of the day to discuss results and recommendations.

Services are covered by medical coupons, some insurance policies, and/or a sliding fee scale.

Referrals can be made by medical providers, families, or schools by contacting Children's Village at 509-574-3200 or 1-800-745-1077.
