Behavioral Assessment Team

Behavioral assessment and behavioral health.

A group of specially trained mental health professionals work with children who have special health care needs and behavioral challenges. This service is provided to families who live in Yakima County. The Behavior Assessment & Treatment Team (BAT) is provided by the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic's Behavioral Health Services at Children's Village.

  • The BAT team works with families and children to teach behavior management strategies and provide positive behavior support.
  • Serves children age birth through 12 years who have special health care needs (including Autism, learning disabilities, and developmental delays).
  • Provides a comprehensive evaluation of challenging behaviors and works with the family to create and implement a treatment plan.
  • Provides services and support in the home, school and childcare settings.
  • Provides training and consultation for professionals, social skills groups, and parenting groups.
  • Services are covered by medical coupons or private pay arrangements
