Fetal Alcohol Syndrome/Effect Diagnostic and Prevention Clinic
A group of trained professionals, who meet with families to diagnose, evaluate and offer recommendations for children exposed to alcohol pre-natally. Services are provided for children living in Central Washington.
The FASD Diagnostic Clinics are provided at Children's Village by the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, in collaboration with service providers from Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. The team has received training from the University of Washington and is part of the FASD Diagnostic and Prevention Network.
Team members include:
- a pediatrician
- a mental health counselor
- an educational psychologist
- an occupational therapist
- a speech & language pathologist
- a FASD clinic coordinator
There is a waiting list for clinic appointments.
Medical coupons, and some insurance policies cover services.
