Head Start

Head Start is a classroom-based preschool program that helps children, ages 3 & 4, who live in the Yakima School District and meet federal low-income guidelines, prepare for school.

The Head Start program at Children's Village is provided by Enterprise for Progress in the Community (EPIC).

  • This program meets during the school year Monday through Thursday in two shifts. One is from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and the other is from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Breakfast and lunch for the morning shift, and lunch and a snack for the afternoon shift is included.
  • Transportation is available for children within limited boundaries in Yakima County.
