Learning Clinic

Childhood early learning. The learning clinic

The Learning Clinic provides evaluations for children ages 5-15 years who are experiencing difficulties learning in school. Services are provided to children living in Central Washington or other locations on a case-by-case basis. The Learning Clinic is provided by The Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic and Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital at Children's Village.

Students are evaluated specifically for strengths and weaknesses in their learning styles, with attention to neurodevelopmental dysfunctions contributing to difficulties in the school setting.

The clinic uses a team approach to evaluate the child. Team members may include:

  • An occupational therapist
  • A mental health counselor
  • A pediatrician

Services are covered by medical coupons, some insurance policies, and/or a sliding fee scale.

Referrals can be made by medical providers, families, or schools by contacting Children's Village at 509-574-3260 or 1-800-745-1077.
