Provider Resources

Welcome, Referring Providers

To start, we want to thank you for the meaningful role you play in supporting children and families across the Yakima Valley. At Children’s Village (CV), we deeply value our partnership with you, and because of this- we’ve created this corner of our website just for you.

This page is designed to be a dedicated, easy-to-use space where you can quickly access the information you need to support the families you refer. Here, you’ll have the ability to find key information such as up-to-date wait times at a glance, to exploring upcoming events, family resources, and community activities that may benefit the children and caregivers you work with.

We’re grateful to be part of your care team. This page is here to make your work easier, your referrals smoother, and your connection to Children’s Village even stronger. We’re in this together, for every child.

Referral Guidelines

Not sure whether your patient qualifies for a specific Children’s Village service? You’re in the right place. We’ve outlined Referral Guidelines for all of our programs and services in the document below to make the process easier.

If you have any questions or ideas for how this guide could better support referring providers, please feel free to reach out. We will make sure you’re connected with the right department or that your feedback is shared directly with our leadership team.

In the Meantime...

The While You Wait Series, hosted by the Children’s Village Parent to Parent program, is designed to support families during one of the hardest parts of their journey- the waiting period before services begin. We know how challenging it can feel to wait for evaluations or treatment, and we want families to feel supported, informed, and never alone during that time.

This series offers helpful resources, guidance, and connection opportunities to help caregivers feel empowered while they wait! While You Wait aims to ease stress, strengthen families, and create a sense of community until children can begin receiving the services they need.

Resources

We’ve also put together a handful of extra resources created by our own Children’s Village staff to further support you in your day‑to‑day work!  These tools are designed to offer quick guidance, practical tips, and helpful information that you can use throughout the referral process and beyond.

Think of this section as a small collection of “good-to-know” materials. Easy to browse and made with your needs in mind.

Created by some of our very own ARNP, Darby Foor– we now have a Yakima County Autism Guide available in both English and Spanish. Including some expanded information on services and supports all throughout Yakima County, Darby created this guide to better support families wherever they are located. By highlighting services from various parts of the Yakima area, we aim to give providers a broader understanding of nearby, accessible options that keep care convenient for families.

Again, this document was created to be easy to read and simple to understand, with families at the forefront. That means you can use it yourself and easily print and share it directly with guardians as a take-home resource whenever needed!

Guess what’s back! After being paused during COVID‑19, the Children’s Village Provider Newsletter has officially returned, and we’re excited to share it with you once again. Beginning in 2026, we are bringing back this quarterly newsletter as standard work, thus creating a simple and helpful way to stay connected on what’s happening across the Village.

Each edition includes regularly updated information about our services, community events, general Children’s Village updates, and occasional “meet‑the‑team” spotlights. Our hope is that this newsletter offers you meaningful, easy‑to-digest information that supports you in the work you do every day.

If you’d like to be added to the distribution list or have suggestions for future content- please reach out. We’d love your input- this is your newsletter, after all!

If you feel this newsletter would also be of benefit to other individuals on your team, such as clinic administrators or medical assistants, we are happy to include them too! All we need you to do is forward us the contact information, and we can make it happen.
